Panic Attack Racing is the team of Jim Barry and Dennis Black and Friends from Markham and Arnprior, Canada who have returned to the Drag strip after a 35 year absence with a fully upgraded Nostalgia Front Engine Dragster powered by an alcohol injected small block Chevy. They are supported by other team members from across Ontario. Panic Attack Racing will compete in SuperPro ET racing, Nostalgia Competitions, and select Match Races at tracks in Ontario, Quebec and upstate New York. Their return is dedicated to Jim's Dad; the late Wes Barry who took them to their first race in 1969.

The Panic Attack Dragster was originally built by Suarez in Texas in the '60s.  By 1987 it had found its way to Jon Rhodes of Rhodes Racing Research in St Louis Missouri. Rhodes did extensive modifications to bring it to its current configuration and NHRA certification. He campaigned the car successfully during the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s when it was a feared car in competition on his local track. It was eventually sold to a company in Seattle then to Hank in British Columbia who replaced the engine and raced it competitively in 2008.  At the start of 2009 it was bought by Dennis and Jim who have brought it back East to Ontario to continue its racing career. With its black and blue flamed paint and full body the Panic Attack Dragster is a true long lived and well loved  Old School Nostalgia Dragster with upgraded controls, modern electronics, a well worn wooden handled butterfly wheel and with all the current day certifications and performance equipment.
